Our Story

We're a husband and wife team - he's a photographer and graphic designer; she's a writer, crafter, and the brains behind this operation. Both love world travel and have a fascination with anything vintage, especially old travel posters. (The photos below are just two from our collection.)

All posters here on Kic Jam Designs are original works of art created by Kevin Tinglof, an award-winning graphic artist and photographer.

He explains his process and inspiration this way: "I've always had an interest in the WPA, art nouveau, and retro-style graphics. Christina and I started collecting original vintage travel posters about 25 years ago, but it wasn't until about five years ago that I decided to try my hand at creating my own in the style of the 1930s and 40s, a heyday of poster design. Those WPA artists of long ago fuel my creativity every day."

Kic Jam Designs operates from a small, home studio in Los Angeles, California. Every Giclee poster or print you order is printed in-house on high-quality, heavyweight Canon Pro Luster photo paper (260 gsm / 10 mil) using 11-color Lucia Pro pigmented inks for long-lasting vivid colors, and is carefully inspected for quality before shipping to you, our customer.
